What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 This morning I was up and got moving right away. I vacuumed the house, got laundry going and then took a break. I was still moving on washing and cleaning when Patrick arrived. He was off golfing. I was surprised I didn't even touch the tablet till after everything was done. Once Patrick got home, I walked my 7 laps. 

Came in and then sat to play for awhile. Then I remembered my list on the counter, and went to cancel my ancestry account. While I was at it, I wanted to move my Family Tree Maker to the ...

 Today I didn't want to get up. Mostly because my reflex decided to keep me up. I had a hard time getting to sleep much. 

Then it was a day of this and that. I worked on the water system bookkeeping to close out 2023. I needed Patrick's help because I had the books a little off. It's now balanced, and the year is closed out. If I ever get audited, then everything is good to go.  Then I vacuumed (with a little help from Patrick). He did laundry and I folded the clothes.

This morning I decided to go to my Brazilian Embroidery meeting. 

Before I even got out the door - 

Our meeting was just Sandy and me. We had such a good time! I didn't take anything to work on, but we chatted the whole time. I did work on getting my word chart done for the Christmas ornaments for this year. I need to get those done so I can start working on them. I will do more later.

 This morning I was up early and out the door with 10 quilts to go to the museum. I headed to moms first, stopping at Dutch Brothers for coffee and tea. 

Arrived around 10 am and Nancy wasn't there yet. She forgot she told me 10 but told mom 11. They were making Rosettes today. So, I helped with that. Got the batter going, worked on getting the rosettes to come off the irons. We finally figured it out. Then Debbie called saying she was done sooner than she thought she would be. 

I spend 2 hours with mom ...

 Today Patrick was out the door for golfing and I slept for another hour before getting up. Then I played some games I haven't had the chance to over the last 4 days. 

Today was a day to get caught up. So, I got laundry started. Finished listening to a book. Then I worked on trying to think of what I wanted to work on. That didn't get me very far at all. 

Patrick got home from golfing and we worked on our Christmas cards. We ordered 20 of them, since we haven't been getting very many ...

 This morning started out pretty good. I started (yep - started) laundry. Then I got moving and vacuumed the house. It was in need after all. Then I sat down planning to work on my beading. BUT Sophie was having none of that and got in my lap. There she slept for 2 1/2 hours. I could have made her get up, but it felt nice and warm on my lap that I didn't want to move. lol

My phone buzzed around 3:30 and Patrick asked if I had my meeting today. Of course I did! Right in ...

This morning I slept till 10 am! What a shock! I have been doing that more lately and for some reason when I was showering, I wondered if that is because my body is fighting off the cancer. Probably not, but it was a thought.  Then my mind wondered again on this. My biopsy "spot" hasn't quite healed. It's still there like a cut that doesn't want to heal. It is still a little tinder but not enough to worry about. AND of course, my mind wondered again - what if that biopsy put a hole in the ...

This morning I forgot it was daylight savings time. Till I saw it on TV. lol 

I got moving first with my cleaning. Had to get the cat litter box cleaned, then get laundry going.  Checked my lists on the counter (from last night) reminding me what I needed to do today. First things first, I had to go for my walk. I walked about 1 1/2 miles. I stopped at 5 laps. Just had too much on my plate. 

Texted Sandy and Cindy to let them know I wouldn't be going to the meeting tomorrow. Then explained ...

 This morning I was running a little slow. I didn't want to get up but I did. Then I had to get moving to moms. Stopped at Phil's to give him more veggies. Then I went to Dutch Brothers for Chai tea for both mom and me. 

When I arrived we worked on getting the table set up for the quilt. Then we cleaned the floor so that there wasn't any dirt. The last thing we needed to do was clean the quilt and have it get dirty again by the floor. We worked on a couple ...

 Today I was up early. I wanted to get my cleaning done before I walked with Ron. Then I wanted to get the 3 quilts squared up to take to mom. As I was finishing my last lap around the block, Patrick came home. I got some lunch and headed out. 

First stop was to get a cake/pie at Safeway for Hildi. Then I stopped to get my Chai Tea at Dutch Brothers. Once that was done, I headed to moms. Nancy picked us up at moms. Then we headed out to Hildi's. She wanted us to see ...

 This morning I enjoyed time to myself before heading out to walk with Ron. My day goes fast when I'm walking with him. 

Patrick came home after golfing which was when I finished walking. He went out to get some veggies for Phil tomorrow. I will be dropping stuff off with him. 

I was doing the certificates downstairs when I realized that room was a mess. I really hate going into a room that is a mess - when it comes to my crafts. I start worrying more about cleaning it up then I do working on my stuff. I ...

 This morning Patrick went golfing ⛳️.  I got my exercises in and headed out to walk. Got in one loop when I ran into Ron Moss, my 94 plus neighbor.  Decided to join him and we walked and talked. He does 7 loops that is shorter than mine. He doesn't go down the hill to the beginning of our street. His 7 loops equal 2 miles. 

Not sure why this is underlined in areas, so please forgive the typos (underlines). Since this is on my tablet, not sure what it's thinking!

 I realized as I was falling asleep, I forgot to do my blog last night. 

Not much to report. Yesterday I was at our Brazilian Embroidery meeting. We just sat and chatted. Cindy brought some magazines that were from 1990's. They are Australian I believe. The magazines have a lot of history in them about the different crafts - embroidery, quilting, knitting, crocheting and tatting. I brought home about 6 of them. I wanted to learn more about some of the history. Plus they had some really pretty patterns in beading and cross stitching.

 This morning I was up around the time Patrick was. He was going golfing and I was going to Physical therapy. When I arrived I told him I had done my exercises and asked about what to do while on vacation. He got after me that I need to walk EVERY DAY to get my muscles to loosen up. I told him I would try harder. I used to walk all the time but lately I don't have anyone to walk with and just don't do it. So he made me walk. We walked over to moms and ...

 This morning I was up and moving around. I went downstairs to see if I had any fabric left from the quilt I did yesterday. I did remember I was out of the blue and thought I had some red I could use. I wanted to be sure to have enough for a binding as well. My off white was down to a 6 1/2" strip. I decided to add another white to it and fold it over - showing most of the white I used on the quilt. I cut a small strip of the red to use as ...

 This morning I was up early and playing on my tablet. Then after Patrick was up, I got moving on getting him to cut my hair! I was so tired of it being so long. I still can't believe how short it feels after cutting off a good 5." Hee Hee. It feels good though. I do like it. Trouble is the bangs and that takes a couple days to look decent. 

After that, I headed out on the deck and dead headed the hanging baskets. I also trimmed them a little. They are looking good, but the dead ...

First things first. Had to get laundry going. Did about 5 loads and I still have a couple more to go. lol I often wonder how I end up with so much laundry! The kids have been gone for 15 years. Go figure!

Then I needed to get the Pineapple Upside Down Cake made. It turned out wonderful. I really wasn't felling good today. Didn't eat much because I wasn't sure if it would come up. It got better over time. I took the test to see where my blood sugar was and it's in the ...

This morning I was up and playing my games. When I finally got moving - I was cleaning the cat litter box (wash it every 2 weeks, clean it often). Next was getting laundry going. We all know how Patrick likes to pile it up on Sundays! I also had to cut backing and batting for the 3 quilts tops I had. Once all that was done, the backing had to be washed! 

I worked on a few things. Getting an email off to everyone in the group. I also had to send off a few things for QOV.

 This morning I was up a little earlier than I thought. After getting dressed and having breakfast, I started working on laundry. I was able to get it all caught up - till tomorrow when Patrick finds more things for me to wash. I also cleaned the cat litter - which I usually do on Sundays. Scooping is another story! 

I got busy with paperwork. I had to get QOV up to snuff. Plus I had to pay a few bills for the water group. Once all that was done, I put my ear plugs in and listened to my book on ...

Today I wanted to sleep all morning. I did get myself out of bed. Once I did, I went for a walk after my exercises. 

Once I finally decided to move, Patrick came home from golfing. When he went to nap, I went downstairs.
