What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 Today, I was working on laundry and getting ready for our trip. I wanted to work on my "bead starter strip" that can be used to start beading projects. I wanted to get it done so that I could take it with me as well. It's a white and black strip so that I can use either side. Depending on the color bead I start with. 

I was playing games and moving. Between household stuff to do before going and getting ready, it kept me pretty busy. I even picked out beads for the bracelet I plan to make ...

This morning, I was cleaning up. Had the usual stuff to do. 

Then Patrick and I went downstairs to work on kits for QOV. We get tops back a lot faster with kits. I must have about 10 quilt kits out there right now. Hopefully they will start coming back. Patrick picked the colors; I had the patterns ready. They are different than the one we have been doing. I cut the fabric. Then we finished up with 5 kits. There are 2 already in the car, so now I'm at 7 kits. It's a waiting game from ...

 This morning, Patrick and I were cleaning around the house. We took the vent in the washer apart. This time more water came out then before. We were trying to figure out why water was left in the drum. The vent was clean and clear. Go figure, but the water was plentiful. I used some of it for watering the plants. Didn't want to waste it all. 

Then I played games for a bit. Got tired of that and started to work on my cross stitching.

 Today, we both slept in. Patrick wasn't feeling all that well, so stayed home from golfing. 

I played my games for a bit, then cleaned the house. Had a couple loads of laundry going and vacuumed the house. Amazing how much cat hair as well as my own hair that comes up in the vacuum cleaner. UGH

Then I played for an hour in the war games with my "alliance." 

Once I was done with that, I plugged my tablet in and looked for a beading ornament for this year. I started on a star one, but it was ...

 This morning I pulled out the dough from last night that was in the refrigerator. It was frozen solid. I couldn't believe it! So, after I showered and had a few things going, like laundry, I got started on it again. This time I remembered the sour dough that was to go in it. 

I made about 18 of them. I think I should have waited on the frosting till it cooled down a bit, but that's okay. Its sweet bread with cherries. I was surprised it wasn't sweet like cinnamon rolls. Patrick said they were okay ...

This morning, I slept in. I was up at 7 am and went back to bed. Then when I woke, I felt good. 

We got busy with getting the place cleaned up a bit. Then I had my stack of paperwork on the computer test, so I decided to get busy and work on that. I needed to get the information in on the family history. To my surprise, I worked on the WINELAND, TRUE and BROWN families. Brown isn't part of my line, but it is on the branches off my line. This morning, I was working on cleaning up my "inbox" and worked on some genealogy before me class started. I was on the computer when the phone rang, and I was late for the class. I thought it was at 10:30 am but it was at 10 am.  So, I joined up. I didn't have everything I needed, duh! Before Patrick went golfing, I was searching the house for the pattern! This morning, I worked on the laundry. Getting all the loads I didn't get over the last week and running out of clothes. I still have a couple loads to do, but at least I was able to do quite a bit today. I ran the Roomba when Debbie called to head to the museum. 

Debbie picked me up to head over to the museum to talk to Donna. I took over the 3 quilts I had as well. We stopped at DB and I got another $15 gift card, since I forgot the one I have.

I know today isn't Friday, but it feels like it. I'm bored!! 

I cleaned up a bit while Patrick was off golfing. Then I cleaned the cat litter and called it done. I was able to play my game but got frustrated with the people I play with. They seem to stop playing when they think we are losing.  I listened to my audiobook today and finished one, starting another. 

I worked on my leg warmers. 

Good news is that it's done. I'm going to do another set but try and make them look a lot ...

   Today was Patrick's Birthday. He didn't want anything and said it's just another day to him. I'm not that way when it comes to Birthdays, but then he treats it the same. lol 

This morning, I wanted to get some stuff cleaned. I got started on laundry, that didn't get me far. 

I had the Roomba going in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/dining room. We then mopped the floor. I kept finding things that needed cleaning and was doing that. I think all morning was nothing but cleaning here and there. Like spring cleaning ...

This morning, I was expecting Jo Pope to come over. She came with her quilt top to get backing and batting. She also took another panel to work on with some fabric. She's kicking butt, and her quilts are the hand quilted quilts we give out. 

After she left, I worked on cutting backing and batting for 2 quilt tops. I will deliver them to Colleen on Monday. We are doing pretty good with getting quilt tops in and out. 

Then I played my hour-long game. After that Patrick and I went downstair and got into the pantry area ...

 This morning, I wanted to enjoy a few minutes of time to myself. Then I had to get a few things done for the meeting at the museum. 

I left around 10:10 am and stopped at the post office. I was able to get the package out in the mail. Then I went to Dutch Brothers. 

Next stop was the museum for our meeting. A few were there before I got there. I was a little late, considering I wanted to be there around 10;30 am. It was a good meeting. We ate and then talked about what ...

 Today, I slept in. I realized I have been sleeping till around 9 am anymore. Guess I don't want to get up. 

I decided to go downstairs and finish up the quilt top. 

It took most of the day. When I had it done, I noticed the size was not where I thought it was supposed to be. Then I realized, I missed a white border that was supposed to be there. Oh, well. It's a good size and I'm going to leave it at that.

 Today, we had to be up and ready to leave. We needed to get mom to her appointment by 11 am. So, we went to pick her up at 10 am. 

We picked her up and had a few things we needed to do when we dropped her off. So, we took her to the dentist in Olympia that could take care of her root canal. They checked her out, then they came out to let Patrick and I know it would be an hour. I played on my phone for a bit and then got into my bag, that ...

This morning, Patrick and I enjoyed sleeping in. 

Then we sat and watched some TV movies. I worked on my round robin. Once it was finished, I put the 2 round robin pieces in the mailing bag and have it ready to mail. WHICH MEANS, I forgot to take a photo, and I can't describe what I did. Even I don't have a photo of my work. I finished the piece below. It turned out pretty good, but I forgot that I needed to put green for the borders, and the last boarder where the needle is, was ...

This morning, I was up and getting my sugar cookie receipt to work on the dough. It needed to be in for a couple of hours in the refrigerator. 

Woke to being told of the flood in the area. The area by us, exit 76 on I5, was closed because of the water over the road. It calmed down some, but I canceled my appointment with physical therapy. Thought there would be water over the road to get into town to see him. Patrick and I went into town to get a few things at Safeway, and it didn't ...

This morning, Patrick was golfing. I was able to sleep a little bit. Then I got up and ordered some sugar cookie cutters, squeeze bottles, and some different size cookie rollers. I will be ready for sugar cookies and want to be "professional" with the designs. LOL - good luck with that!

Then I vacuumed and did laundry. Woo-Hoo! Once all that was done, I played till about 2 pm. Then headed downstairs to get some backing and batting done to take a couple quilts to Colleen tomorrow. 

This morning, Patrick left for golfing, and I slept a little longer.  When I did get up, I decided to get the laundry done. It's been a while since I have done it. At least it wasn't that bad. 

While I was working on the laundry and cleaning up the kitchen, I was playing my game. I was able to get myself up in the 300's for the challenge. Trouble is, it's going on for another 3 days. I just want to be up there for the prizes.

This morning, I did some cleaning. The usual Sunday morning routine. 

The I worked on my bookkeeping and my genealogy. I wanted to work on some letters that were written by my mother's uncle. I entered them in the Letters from the Past blog. I was able to add about 4 or 5 letters. I also added my grandmother's obit on that page as well. I was surprised to see where he was separated from his wife in 1926. Not sure which one that was. But in 1927 he found Jo - the one who had a son with ...

Today, I was up earlier than usual. I wanted to participate in the war game this morning. I did for a while then went with Debbie to get "coffee." We chatted about the Mariner's game and a few other things. Not sure what's going on with the museum, but I do know the funding has been lost. 

Came back home and headed downstairs. I needed to get ready for the sew days on Wednesday and had to pick a few things up.
