What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Today, I slept in. It felt good and I really didn't want to get up. But as always, I did. 

We cleaned a bit. Since it's garbage day tomorrow, I needed to get a few things done. Laundry wasn't so lucky, I kept forgetting about checking on the laundry. Which means, that a job for tomorrow or Tuesday. 

Patrick was watching football and I wasn't interested in watching that all day. So, I went to the table and got to work on my beading.

Wasn't able to sleep in today. Patrick's nurses came to work on him. While they were doing that, I was cleaning up the dining room table and working on the Roomba app. 

I spend pretty much all morning chatting with Roomba and trying to get our Roomba to work. I chatted with one guy, and he sent a link, which then disconnected us, when I went to check it out. Then I got another gal. I chatted with her on the computer to make sure I could use my phone to see what she was talking about. After ...

 Today, I slept in. It was nice. Just didn't want to get up. 

I did play my games for a bit today. Then I went downstairs to do some cleaning to get ready for Wednesday. 

It wasn't fun. I have a lot of crap going on at the same time. So, I hit the tabletop first. One thing at a time. 

I got it cleaned up more. I have a few things going at the same time. So, I needed to keep those close to cut. I have about 3 different quilt tops that we need to finish ...

I got to work on cleaning a few things up. Taking care of the cat and getting laundry going. 

Then I played my war game that was still going on. I gave it up around 2 pm. Once I did that, I pulled out my cross stitch and worked on it. 

This morning I was up and showered. Then Patrick showered. While he was getting out of the shower, the nurses arrived to help him out. They were earlier than they said they would be. Which was fine, but I had to eat in the computer room since I hate eating in front of people. They are working of fixing his "leak" that he had over 12 hours. All is well, and he's back on track.

This morning, I slept in. Really didn't want to get out of bed. I could have slept till noon the way I was going. I used to do that in High School, but not when I got older. 

I was cleaning everything! I mopped the kitchen floors (wood), clean the cat litter, washed 7 loads of stuff, from clothes to rugs, and vacuumed. I was the energizer bunny today. After all that, we went to Safeway to get some groceries. Patrick was getting stuff and I was doing the heavy lifting or taking out of the basket. We got ...

 Today, I slept in. Really didn't want to get out of bed. 

Once I did, I had a list of things to do. I got started with the laundry. Washed the sheets first, then headed downstairs to get stuff done. Patrick wanted to help with putting new sheets on but told him I was waiting till this afternoon. 

I started to sew the binding on the quilt Debbie finished and realized I was doing it wrong. I needed to fold the fabric in half. For some reason, I ironed it with 1/4" open. That's what I was ...

 Today, I really didn't want to get up, so I slept till 10 am. Then forced myself to get up. Patrick was already up and watching TV. 

I got moving as soon as I was up. I worked on getting Patrick what he needed or wanted. He said she wanted to have the tomato sauce I made the other day, and I really didn't want to use it up that fast. So, I went out to the garden and got a few more tomatoes, luckily enough to make a small batch of sauce. I put that in the ...

 This morning, I needed to get the laundry going and get the trash outside. Scott came by and put our trash cans out. Don't know why Patrick didn't think I could do that. I ended up taking trash out and recycling after he had taken it to the curb. Can't win. 

I worked on my family history and added another 100 names. I know I could have done more, but I'm more interested right now in the direct line. I actually worked on the WILDER and ENSIGN family names. Those are new to me. They are ...

This morning, I wanted to be up to see Patrick early. So, I was out the door by 9:00 am. I was supposed to stop at the church but forgot. I headed to Safeway for a doughnut and got one for Patrick as well. Wonder if he will want another one tomorrow. I stopped and got some iced tea at Dutch Brothers then headed up there. 

I hate driving up there, but I've been pretty lucky so far. Some of the drivers don't want to let me in, but I get there anyway. I hate driving like ...

Today started early. Was getting texts before 8 am and I was hoping to sleep in. No such luck. I had so many texts and calls before 9 am that I had to get up. Then I got to work on laundry, running the Roomba, cleaning the cat litter and refrigerator. After all that, I went for a walk. I didn't get very far when I ran into the neighbor, and she gave me some tomatoes and peaches. Patrick likes his peaches. I will try and roast the tomatoes tomorrow because I have a couple from our garden as ...

 This morning, I slept in. Wasn't ready to get out of bed because it was a long day yesterday. Once I did, I was on the move. 

Went to McD's for breakfast and then Dutch Brothers for tea. I also washed the car since it was across the street. Once all that was done, I headed to Olympia. It's a 45 min drive, so I was glad to see it wasn't crowded. On the way back it was easier to get on the freeway then it was last night.

Today, I did the usual cleaning and then repotted 4 of my house plants. All that was done by noon. 

Then I pretty much played on my tablet. Not feeling like doing much of anything. I did get a load of laundry in, but that was nothing. 

After a while and needing to get my tablet charged, I decided I needed to work on something.  

It's coming along nicely. I do have some empty spots in there, but I'm trying to find that symbol in an area close by or where I can move to. Since they aren ...

Today was one of those days where I could do a lot of things. I got my 7 laps in. 

Came into the house and Patrick came home from golfing shortly after. He was napping, so I worked on my beading. My game was at 1 pm, so I took a break and went back to it after the game was over. 

 After the game was over, I did another row. Her noise is done. It's interesting how different it looks from a distance or on a photo. Up close, not so much. I do enjoy working on this ...

This morning, we did the usual of cleaning up. Then we went outside and picked a bucket of apples. We have 8 boxes of apples out there that were on the ground. So, we didn't start picking them fast enough. 

Came in and made apple sauce with the first set of apples. Patrick didn't want to do much, which was disappointing since I was wanting to do the whole bucket. I did take 3 apples and make a German Apple Cake for tomorrow. It's in the refrigerator.

 Today, I was working on laundry and getting ready for our trip. I wanted to work on my "bead starter strip" that can be used to start beading projects. I wanted to get it done so that I could take it with me as well. It's a white and black strip so that I can use either side. Depending on the color bead I start with. 

I was playing games and moving. Between household stuff to do before going and getting ready, it kept me pretty busy. I even picked out beads for the bracelet I plan to make ...

This morning, I was cleaning up. Had the usual stuff to do. 

Then Patrick and I went downstairs to work on kits for QOV. We get tops back a lot faster with kits. I must have about 10 quilt kits out there right now. Hopefully they will start coming back. Patrick picked the colors; I had the patterns ready. They are different than the one we have been doing. I cut the fabric. Then we finished up with 5 kits. There are 2 already in the car, so now I'm at 7 kits. It's a waiting game from ...

 This morning, Patrick and I were cleaning around the house. We took the vent in the washer apart. This time more water came out then before. We were trying to figure out why water was left in the drum. The vent was clean and clear. Go figure, but the water was plentiful. I used some of it for watering the plants. Didn't want to waste it all. 

Then I played games for a bit. Got tired of that and started to work on my cross stitching.

 Today, we both slept in. Patrick wasn't feeling all that well, so stayed home from golfing. 

I played my games for a bit, then cleaned the house. Had a couple loads of laundry going and vacuumed the house. Amazing how much cat hair as well as my own hair that comes up in the vacuum cleaner. UGH

Then I played for an hour in the war games with my "alliance." 

Once I was done with that, I plugged my tablet in and looked for a beading ornament for this year. I started on a star one, but it was ...

 This morning I pulled out the dough from last night that was in the refrigerator. It was frozen solid. I couldn't believe it! So, after I showered and had a few things going, like laundry, I got started on it again. This time I remembered the sour dough that was to go in it. 

I made about 18 of them. I think I should have waited on the frosting till it cooled down a bit, but that's okay. Its sweet bread with cherries. I was surprised it wasn't sweet like cinnamon rolls. Patrick said they were okay ...
